More Than a Platform: The Next Chapter of the Montessori Thrive Community

Six years ago, during one of the most uncertain moments Montessori schools had ever faced, we started something simple.

At the height of COVID, school leaders everywhere were navigating impossible decisions, rapidly changing regulations, staffing challenges, parent concerns, and the emotional weight of trying to hold together a school community during a global crisis. Many leaders felt isolated. Conversations that once happened naturally in hallways, conferences, and school visits suddenly disappeared overnight.

So we created a space for connection.

What began as a small online community designed to support Montessori school leaders through uncertainty slowly grew into something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Over the years, the Montessori Thrive Community has become:

  • A professional network of Montessori school leaders from around the world

  • A resource library filled with practical tools, templates, and guidance

  • A forum for thoughtful discussion and collaboration

  • A space for workshops and professional development opportunities

  • A place where schools can access support not only for operations and enrollment, but also for parent education and community building

Today, that community has grown to more than 1,500 members and includes hundreds of resources designed specifically for Montessori schools.

And through all of that growth, one thing has remained the same: The community has always been completely free. Because we believe there should never be a price on community, collaboration, and shared wisdom within the Montessori movement.

For years, we’ve watched school leaders generously share ideas, support one another through challenges, offer guidance to newer administrators, and remind each other that none of us are carrying this work alone. Some of the most meaningful conversations we’ve witnessed have happened quietly inside this community between people who simply wanted to help one another do this work better.

That spirit is what inspired us to take the next step.

Over the past several months, we’ve been completely redesigning and expanding the Montessori Thrive Community platform—and we are finally ready to share it with you.

On Tuesday, May 19th from 1:30–2:30 PM EST, we will officially unveil the next evolution of the Montessori Thrive Community during a live launch event.

Join the Montessori Thrive Community Launch Event!

This is not simply a platform update. It is the beginning of a more intentional space for Montessori leaders to connect, learn, collaborate, and grow together.

Our new platform has been designed to feel less like social media and more like a true professional community rooted in Montessori values. We wanted to create an environment where school leaders can step away from the noise and instead engage in thoughtful conversations, ongoing professional development, and meaningful collaboration with others who genuinely understand the realities of Montessori leadership.

Inside the new community, members will have access to:

  • Expanded resource libraries

  • New discussion spaces and forums

  • Professional development workshops

  • Parent education resources

  • Weekly live events and town halls

  • More opportunities for collaboration and mentorship

And of course, our weekly Montessori school leader town halls will continue every Thursday from 1:30–2:30 PM EST, offering leaders a consistent space to ask questions, discuss challenges, and connect with one another throughout the year.

Most importantly, this next chapter is still grounded in the same mission we started with six years ago:

To support Montessori schools through authentic community. At a time when educational leadership can feel increasingly overwhelming and isolated, we believe deeply in the importance of creating spaces where leaders feel seen, supported, and connected to something larger than themselves. This work was never meant to be done alone. We truly cannot wait to walk you through everything we’ve been building and share all of the exciting new features and resources with you during the launch event.

Whether you’ve been part of the community for years or are discovering it for the first time, we would love to welcome you.

Because the future of Montessori education becomes stronger when school leaders have access to one another.

And that will always remain free.

Join us live on Tuesday, May 19th from 1:30–2:30 PM EST and be among the first to explore the new Montessori Thrive Community platform. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
